Purusha Pretam, directed by Krishashand, director of the best film award winning film Aavasavyuham, is gearing up for release. Darshan Rajendran, Jagadish, Prashant Alexander, Devaki Rajendran and Jio Baby played the lead roles in the film.
Darshan opens his mind about cinema. Darshan said that he had not seen Awasavyuham when Krishand called him to play the male ghost. Darshan said that this is a type of film and character that he has never done and that is why he decided to do the film. In an interview to Mathrubhumi.com, Darshana said that very serious matters are being presented in a humorous manner in the film.
‘When Krishand called me for the male ghost, he had not seen the habitat. I saw that movie later. He had a definite conviction while telling the story of the male ghost. That is what attracted me to this movie. It was the kind of film and character that I would never do. That’s what made me do it.
The nature of this movie cannot be said like that. Those who have seen Krishand’s previous film Aavasavyuham know this. The film had a different character at every stage. The male ghost was very different from all that.
This is a police story. The content of this movie is very serious. But it is presented in a humorous way. The movie is made to appeal to all types of audience. Mine is a character who falls prey to the social system when it fails.
It is a story of ordinary people facing extraordinary problems. Although they are different characters, they are not traditional casting models,’ said Darshana.
