Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari recently opened up about her decision to cut off her father, Dennis Cavallari, two years ago after he crossed a line with her three children.
During an episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” Cavallari shared that she realized her father was a narcissist when she was an adult and recalled feeling like she “wasn’t good enough” when she was younger due to her father’s behavior. She also explained that her father’s actions towards her children were the final straw that led her to cut ties with him.
Cavallari, who shares kids Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, stated, “How I got my dad out of my life was something happened with my kids and it crossed the line. And I was like, ‘You know what? I’m f–king done.’ And he blamed me for it like, threw everything back in my face.”
Fans of the reality star took to the comments section to show support and share their own experiences, with many praising Cavallari for her honesty and decision to prioritize her children’s well-being.
Cavallari and her father had a strained relationship even before her decision to cut him off. She previously revealed that their relationship grew apart following the death of her brother, Michael Cavallari, in 2015.
Despite the challenges in her relationship with her father, Cavallari remains committed to creating a positive and healthy environment for her children.
