KSRTC: Minister says salary cannot be guaranteed within 5 | KSRTC

Thiruvananthapuram: The Transport Minister has not given any assurance that KSRTC employees will be paid by the 5th of every month. After the discussion, TDF and BMS said that they were ready to compromise on any other issue and that the only response was the management’s stand against non-payment of wages.

Both organizations said they would go on strike on May 6 if they did not pay their salaries before the night of May 5. Minister Antony Raju held separate discussions with the unions. CITU representatives, including Ananthalawattam Anandan, told the minister that they would not accept a pay cut.

The minister said he could not guarantee the salary. He said the government would continue to provide assistance and would discuss with the finance minister how many crores of rupees would be provided. Do not go on strike and push KSRTC to further losses. The Minister said that the revenue of K-Swift will be given to KSRTC itself.
