KU Leuven Scientists Awarded Prestigious Francqui-Collen Prize for Cancer and Virus Research

King Philippe has awarded the Francqui-Collen Prize, the most important science prize in our country, to two scientists from KU Leuven. Oncologist Sarah-Maria Fendt is awarded for her research into the metabolism in cancer cells that metastasize. Virologist Philippe Lemey receives the prize for his research into the origin, evolution and distribution of viruses.
