THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam actress and co-director Ambika Rao has fallen victim to Corona. Ambika Rao, 58, from Thrissur, Kerala, made her directorial debut in the Malayalam film ‘Krishna Gopala Krishna’. He later worked as an associate director in several films including ‘Thommanum Makkalum’, ‘Salt and Pepper’, ‘Rajamanikkam’ and ‘Velli Nakshatram’. He also acted in several Malayalam films including ‘Meesai Madhavan’, ‘Anuraga Karikkin Vellam’, ‘Tamasha’, ‘Virus’ and ‘Kumbalangi Nights’.

Ambika Rao has been undergoing treatment at a Thrissur hospital for the past few months due to a kidney problem. Then he had a sudden corona injury. He died suddenly the night before yesterday while receiving intensive treatment for the same. Malayalam film industry mourned his death. The late Ambika Rao has 2 sons Rahul and Sohan.
