That’s itWhen Mathukutty, who shined as RJ and Vijay, entered the directing arena, expectations were high. The theatrical reception of ‘Kunjeldo’ is proof that those expectations have not been dashed. When debutant director Mathukutty and creative director Vineeth Sreenivasan teamed up on the silver screen, the theater was born to be a 100 per cent entertainer.

As the name suggests, the film tells the story of Kunjeldo (Asif Ali). The film opens with Eldo John’s School Farewell, also known as Kunjeldo. Those who still have wet school memories in mind will not be able to see these scenes without Eran.

Admission to Kunjeldo Arts College for the sole reason of having to wear a school uniform is in a really beating mood. There Nivedita (Gopika Udayan) enters Kunjeldo’s life. The entry of Nivedita blooms the buds of love in Kunjeldo.

Eldo enters his life as a lonely girl, just as Endo wanted. The film tells the story of how Eldo’s display of happiness affects Endo and others. When Kunjeldo crosses the new meadows of love, it affects Kunjeldo and Nivedita’s family.

Swaroop Philip, the photographer, has been completely successful in capturing Eldo’s baby life. The icy scenes of Kuttikkanam also welcome the audience to Eldo’s life. Ranjan Abraham is to be commended for putting the scenes together without breaking them. Another important feature is the visual feast that prepares the film for the audience. The mesmerizing music of the artist Shaan Rahman kept the audience in the theater for two and a half hours.

The characters Jinto and Shemir stand out in the spontaneous comedy scenes. All the characters brought out to the best of their ability.

The 19-year-old’s innocence and teenage love were all safe in Asif Ali’s hands. Vineeth Sreenivasan’s guest role is making waves in the theater. While Gopika Udayan was able to play the lead role of Nivedita, Siddique and Rekha were also in the lead. Kunjeldo is a film that can still be enjoyed with the family, if the memories are still on the four walls of the school.
