Kuwait City | The Ministry of Interior is preparing the facility for Kuwaitis to get passports automatically without wasting time. Similar steps are taken for renewal of driver’s license in passport procedures. In the new method, Kuwaiti citizens must submit their applications on the website of the Ministry of Interior.
Kuwait is the first Arab country to introduce this kind of service. Apart from being convenient for the citizens, it can also avoid congestion in related departments like travel documents etc. Meanwhile, allocating a special counter for passengers at Kuwait Airport is also under consideration.
Major General Sheikh Fawaz Al Khalid, Director General of the General Administration of Nationality and Travel Documents, said that it is intended to provide services to those who have boarding passes through this counter when there are problems with passports full of stamps and expired.
