Kuwait celebrates National Liberation Day – 9 days public holiday

Kuwait City: The Government of Kuwait has declared a 9-day public holiday to mark National Liberation Day. Kuwaiti government spokesman Tariq al-Mesrem told a news conference that the country had declared a nine – day holiday from February 25 to March 5 to mark the country’s Independence Day.

Kuwait’s National Day falls on Friday, February 25, and Liberation Day falls on Saturday, February 26. These are the upcoming holidays Friday and Saturday. Instead, the holiday falls on Sunday and Monday, February 27,28, and Tuesday, March 1 is the day of Isra ‘ami’, and the working days between these two holidays, March 2,3, become a day of rest.
A spokesman for the government, Tariq al-Musram, explained that the holiday would be followed by a nine – day holiday in the country for nine days, including weekends on Fridays and Fridays, March 4 and 5, and would begin on Sunday, March 6.
