Kuwait City: The Roads and Land Transport Public Authority has sought the central agency’s approval for the tender process for the Kuwait domestic railway project. The consultancy study and outline are prepared in the first phase.
Indications are that the first phase is from Nuwaiseb-Alkhafji in the southern part of Kuwait to Mubarak Al Kabir-Bubyan Deep in the north.
Local media reported that the central agency has accepted the Roads and Land Transport Public Authority’s request to float a tender for a detailed study and design work project and prepare documents for the tender for its first phase.
The estimated value of the consultancy project is about one million dinars. Sources concerned said this is a significant achievement as it will pave the way for the implementation of the project, which has been stalled for years.
