Kuwait City: As part of maritime security, the Kuwaiti-Iraqi naval forces conducted a firing exercise with the US Navy. The US Navy’s fifth fleet participated in the joint exercise. The exercise was held in the northern Arabian Gulf region with the objectives of strengthening regional maritime security cooperation and expanding cooperation. The exercise included live ammunition shooting. Participating nations expressed interest in strengthening regulatory capacity and maritime security activities and regional cooperation and consolidating ideas. The military exercise was based on joint security cooperation agreements.
