Kuwait City: The Ministry of Public Works of Kuwait must wear decent clothes in offices during work. According to local media reports, the Ministry’s Assistant Under Secretary has issued such a circular for officials.

According to the circular, it has been noticed that some female and male employees working in the Ministry of Public Works are wearing clothes that are not suitable for the workplace and this is not dignified. Such roles do not befit the dignity of public institutions. There is a demand to follow the instructions in the administrative circular issued in 2013 explaining matters including the uniforms of the employees. The Assistant Under-Secretary reminds that under Section 24 of the country’s Civil Service Act, employees are expected to uphold the dignity of their work and treat them with respect.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a strict directive to check all documents of expatriates who have obtained driving licenses in previous years in Kuwait. This is on the recommendation of Sheikh Talal Khalid Al Ahmad, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of the Ministry of Interior.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that strict action will be taken against those who have obtained licenses in violation of the rules prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the licenses will be cancelled. According to the license register, about 14 lakh driving licenses have been issued in the country. Out of that, 800,000 licenses have been obtained by non-residents.
