A new season and a new number for Napoli’s winger, who will wear the 7 of his idols Guti and Cristiano Ronaldo
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is ready to reclaim Napoli. After a great European Championship with Georgia, the Napoli winger will join his teammates in the coming days to start working with Antonio Conte. Looking ahead to the new season, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport, there will be a change: Kvaratskhelia will wear the number 7 shirt (of his idols Guti and Cristiano Ronaldo), thus abandoning the number 77 he used in his first two years in Naples. The same 7 that he also wears for the national team.
A clear and strong message has been sent by Kvara: the desire to remain at Napoli, thanking Conte for the trust shown so far, even if only over the phone and verbally. The Georgian forward has, in fact, decided to reject PSG’s offer because he wants to return to being a protagonist with the Napoli shirt already this season. In the 3-4-2-1 formation that Conte is testing, there is space for his creativity and dribbling.
