jpnn.com – Indonesian badminton player Putri Kusuma Wardani a.k.a Putri KW made a surprise by advancing to the semifinals of the 2024 Taipei Open.

Competing at the Taipei Arena, Friday (6/9/2024), the player born on July 20, 2002 was able to defeat the host’s mainstay women’s singles, Tai Tzu Ying through a rubber game 18-21, 21-16, 24-22.

After the match, the PB Mansion Exist player admitted that he was happy to be able to beat the 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist.

By playing more calmly, the 2021 SEA Games bronze medalist secured victory against the Taiwanese badminton queen in 1 hour and 8 minutes.

“I have mixed feelings about winning against Tai Tzu Ying. Of course I’m happy because I was able to play a good game,” said the woman who is part of the Metro Jaya Police Sabhara Directorate.

It is only natural that Putri KW is happy to be able to win against Tai Tzu Ying.

The reason is, the Kaohsiung-born player is one of the world’s elite women’s singles badminton players who was once ranked third in the BWF.

Putri KW also hopes that her positive trend will continue and achieve good results at the 2024 Taipei Open.
