On the afternoon of the 28th, the ‘2024 Kwak Dong-yeon Japan Fan Meeting HEARTS’ was held at the Mozart Hall in Katsushika Symphony Hills, Tokyo.

The fan meeting on this day was filled with the passionate ‘hearts’ of Kwak Dong-yeon and his fans for 2 hours and 20 minutes. ‘Hearts’ is derived from Kwak Dong-yeon’s official fan club name, ‘Heart Kwak Dong’. It was his first Japanese fan meeting in 6 years since he met Japanese fans with the success of ‘Love in the Moonlight’ in 2018.

On this day, Kwak Dong-yeon appeared on stage singing John Park’s “Your Thoughts” and heated up the audience from the start. In the talk that followed, Kwak Dong-yeon showed off his signature wit and delivered a simple talk in Japanese without the help of an interpreter, drawing even greater responses from the audience.

In addition, Kwak Dong-yeon looked back at his previous works such as ‘Queen of Tears’, ‘Vincenzo’, ‘Fight for My Way’, and ‘Love in the Moonlight’, shared behind-the-scenes stories, and actively communicated with fans by cheerfully answering their witty questions. Kwak Dong-yeon chose Hong Yi-sak’s ‘Fallin’, the OST of ‘Queen of Tears’, as the last song of Part 1, touching fans who loved the drama.

As the second part began, Kwak Dong-yeon sang Fukuyama Masaharu’s “Hello.” In particular, he showed off his top-notch electric guitar playing, which drew warm cheers from all over the audience. In addition, during the game with the fans, Kwak Dong-yeon’s antics exploded, making the fans laugh out loud.

On this day, at the end of the concert, an event that the fans had secretly prepared for Kwak Dong-yeon was revealed, and Kwak Dong-yeon was moved to tears. Kwak Dong-yeon, who was overcome with emotion, said, “I wanted to give the fans a fun time, but I received better energy,” and expressed his gratitude to the fans by saying, “I will work hard so that we can be together for a long time.”

After singing the Japanese band Back Number’s “Horizon” as the closing song, Kwak Dong-yeon continued the emotional moment by seeing off each and every fan as they left.

Meanwhile, after the end of ‘Queen of Tears’, Kwak Dong-yeon, who has completed various commercial filmings and overseas schedules, will appear in the domestic premiere of the play ‘Waiting for Godot’ in September.
