In the 15th episode of the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Queen of Tears‘ (written by Park Ji-eun, directed by Jang Young-woo, Kim Hee-won) that aired last weekend, Hong Soo-cheol (Kwak Dong-yeon) saves Cheon Da-hye (Lee Joo-bin), who is in danger due to Mo Seul-hee (Lee Mi-sook)’s scheme. He showed up riding his bicycle at full speed.
Previously, Su-cheol grew up not knowing how to ride a bicycle due to his parents’ overprotection, but he developed independence to protect his loved ones, and the bicycle was a symbol of that.
Soo-cheol appeared in front of Da-hye, overpowered the kidnappers with the boxing skills he learned from Yongduri, and collapsed. Da-hye hugged the fallen Su-cheol and sobbed, saying, “I love you,” and Su-cheol, who opened his eyes with difficulty, replied, “Me too,” making her feel sad.
Later, in episode 16, Da-hye, who wanted to pay for her crimes through trial testimony, and Soo-cheol, who tried to dissuade her from doing so, were depicted. Da-hye confessed that when she was young, she always waited for Soo-cheol to come to her orphanage, and Soo-cheol gave meaning to their fate by asking, “Am I your first love?” Da-hye once again revealed her will to embroider, saying, “I have waited a long time, so please wait for me this time,” and Soo-cheol eventually accepted Da-hye’s feelings.
Da-hye ended up being imprisoned, and contrary to the family’s expectation that she would be crying, Soo-cheol showed a much stronger character, bravely taking care of Geon-wu and waiting for Da-hye. Afterwards, Soo-cheol welcomes Da-hye with Geon-woo on Da-hye’s release date, and the three families are finally able to be together as a whole. Soocheol grew further as a husband and father, becoming a ‘complete adult’, and it was a happy ending.
