Russia and Ukraine announced this Saturday that they have exchanged 206 prisoners, including Russian soldiers captured during the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk border region.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Russia, 103 Russian officials imprisoned in the Kursk region were exchanged for the same number of Ukrainian prisoners of war. In the Kursk region, however, the kyv was happy to take hundreds of prisoners.

According to the ministry, this exchange is part of the United Arab Emirates which provides “reconciliation efforts”. In a separate statement, the Russian army said on Saturday that it continued “aggressive operations” in the Kursk region. On Thursday, he announced, for the first time, that he had reclaimed land there.
On the defensive for months at the front, Ukraine launched a surprise attack on August 6 in the Russian region of Kursk, where it captured several square kilometers.
