In an interview on Dutch TV on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that it would not be possible to reconquer the entire country militarily – and was probably referring primarily to Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014. Such a scenario would kill hundreds of thousands of compatriots, Zelenskyy said.
