Kyle Thomas Joins BBC Nature Show as Co-Host

Kyle Thomas, the UK’s most followed TikTok creator, is moving from phone screens to mainstream television as a co-host for the BBC’s latest nature programme, Naturewatch.

Broadcasting British Wildlife

Thomas joins wildlife presenters Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin on the presenting team. Produced by BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit, the series is filmed in a secret location just south of Bristol city centre and is scheduled to run throughout the year.

Thomas brings over 33 million followers on TikTok to the broadcast through his animal-focused videos. He hopes his involvement will help draw younger viewers to the network’s nature coverage. We’re going on this learning journey together, Thomas said.

I’m super, super excited. I’m learning so much already, he added.

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly common across social media platforms. Thomas noted that the programme will serve as a trusted source of really brilliant factual information for audiences online.

Interactive Field Reports

The production relies on audience participation. It encourages viewers to submit videos for the presenters to review on air.

The show features weekly television broadcasts and dedicated Q&A episodes. During these segments, the team answers seasonal viewer questions and evaluates submitted photographs and footage.

Working from a studio situated in the countryside of the West, the co-hosts have already encountered local wildlife. McCubbin mentioned that the trio had already been distracted by the diverse animals surrounding their workspace.

Packham emphasised that the series focuses squarely on the fauna people can expect to see and encounter whilst they’re outside.

It’s really great to be in this part of the country, there’s lots of brilliant wildlife here and lots of stories for us to be talking about, McCubbin added.
