Nick Kyrgios looks ready to end his philosophy of playing on tour without a coach, for the sake of Jannik Sinner!

A few minutes after Sinner’s triumph at the Australian Open, the Italian made statements for Eurosport, the network where Kyrgios has also worked in recent weeks, providing live commentary on all major matches.

Kyrgios posed a humorous question to the new Australian Grand Slam champion: “How much do I have to pay you to be my coach so I can win a Grand Slam? Can you do it for free? Please!”

Sinner of course laughed and answered him: “Okay, maybe I’ll do it for you for free.”

And then he said some very nice words about Kyrgios: “What is certain is that everyone misses you. You are one of those players that we don’t see that often. Your game, but also your behavior on the court make you different. We need players like that, I hope you come back, you are missed. I think we talked just before my 2nd round match and it was great to see you. I hope to see you on the court soon and also you are a Grand Slam title contender and I think you know it.”

In closing, Kyrgios asked Sinner to invite him if he throws a party in Melbourne to celebrate the title.
