Singer Kyubin successfully completed his first 5-day debut promotion in Hong Kong.
Kyubin participated in the ‘2024 Wine & Dine Festival’, a world-class gastronomic festival held in Hong Kong for 5 days from October 24th to 28th, and ‘YouTube Music Night’, from the stage to interviews with major media outlets in Hong Kong, photo shoots for famous magazines in Hong Kong, and appearances by famous Hong Kong celebrities. A variety of promotions were carried out, ranging from collaboration content filming with singers to content filming with representative Hong Kong influencers and famous YouTubers.
Since Kyubin’s official debut with ‘Really Like You’ last January, he has performed at Taiwan’s largest festival ‘S20 Taiwan’ and Japan’s largest large-scale fashion show ‘Kansai Collection’, but he has not started promoting in earnest overseas. This is the first time it has been done.
In particular, Kyubin, who participated in the ‘2024 Wine & Dine Festival’, sang a total of 9 songs in 4 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese, and Cantonese, including his representative songs such as ‘Start To Shine’ and ’Really Like You’. The song drew enthusiastic response from the audience.
Meanwhile, Kyubin, who successfully completed his first Hong Kong promotion after his debut, said, “It was a very happy time to be able to see Hong Kong fans up close.” He added, “As Hong Kong fans gave me a lot of love, I will show my growth so that I can visit Hong Kong again.” “I will,” he said.

Interview between Time.news Editor and Music Expert on Kyubin’s Successful Promotion in Hong Kong
Editor: Welcome to Time.news! Today, we have an exceptional guest, Dr. Emily Lee, a music promotion expert and cultural analyst. Dr. Lee, thank you for joining us.
Dr. Lee: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be here.
Editor: Recently, the Korean singer Kyubin successfully completed his first five-day debut promotion in Hong Kong. He participated in events like the ‘2024 Wine & Dine Festival’ and ’YouTube Music Night.’ What does this achievement signify for an emerging artist like him?
Dr. Lee: It’s a monumental step for Kyubin! Successfully penetrating the Hong Kong market, especially with major events like the ’Wine & Dine Festival,’ showcases his ability to resonate with international audiences. This kind of exposure can dramatically enhance his visibility and fanbase.
Editor: And it’s interesting to note that he performed nine songs in four languages, including Korean, English, Chinese, and Cantonese. How crucial is multilingual performance in establishing a global artist?
Dr. Lee: Multilingualism is incredibly vital in today’s global music scene. It allows artists to connect on a deeper level with diverse audiences. By catering to different linguistic backgrounds, Kyubin not only showcases his versatility but also shows respect for the local culture, which can foster a loyal fanbase.
Editor: Kyubin mentioned that he felt happy to see his Hong Kong fans up close and hinted at returning in the future. How important is fan engagement in an artist’s journey, especially in a new market like Hong Kong?

His debut there involved collaborations with local influencers and celebrities, which helps tailor an artist’s image to the local audience. It’s not just about performing; it’s about immersive engagement with the culture.
