La Konga and another record hit: “Ya no vuelves” reached 100 million views on YouTube

La Konga lives a present dreamed of by any musical artist with ambition of popularity. Days before their arrival at the Vélez stadium, the Villa Dolores group announced on their Instagram account that their most recent success, don’t come back anymorereached a spectacular number of views on YouTube.

“Don’t call it a song, call this work of art an anthem,” reads the post made from La Konga’s Instagram profile, announcing that the song recorded live with Ke Personajes and Luck Ra reached 100 million views on the main video platform.

The version of the original by the Cordovan ragpicker (also the author of another konguero classic, I’d lie to you) was recorded at Quality Stadium in 2022 and premiered on December 1 on the band’s YouTube channel. Since it came out, it has been among the most listened to songs on the platform and is currently the second most popular video.

To measure the achievement of the cuartetero group, it is enough to remember that what until now was their biggest hit, Parallel universe together with Nahuel Pennisi (author of the song), reached hundreds of millions of views in almost 10 months, while don’t come back anymore He did the same in three and a half months.

This new milestone in La Konga’s career comes just a few days after what will be the most important concert in its 20-year history. Next Saturday the band will perform at the Vélez stadium with its capacity completely sold out since the beginning of January. It will also be the first time that a group of the genre fills a paid stadium in the city of Buenos Aires.

In April, meanwhile, La Konga will celebrate its two decades of life with a double in Forge (Friday 14 and Saturday 15). It will be their first concert in the city of Córdoba in 2023 and will officiate as a local stop on the band’s first world tour, which between March and June will play Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, the United States, Spain, Ireland and England.
