Los Angeles LGBT Center launches “center Ride Out” Cycling Fundraiser

The shift to center Ride Out represents both a celebration of past achievements and a forward-looking strategy for the Center.”For decades, our community has come together to ride for something greater than ourselves,” said a senior official at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. “center Ride Out honors a rich legacy while charting a bold path forward-celebrating our progress and recommits us to fight for health equity, compassion, and visibility for all LGBTQ+ people.”
The three-day ride will take participants from Los Angeles through the rolling hills of Riverside county, culminating on the San Diego coast. The route is designed to be challenging yet accessible, fostering a sense of camaraderie among riders.
Fundraising Goals and Community Impact
Participants in Center Ride Out are required to raise a minimum of $2,500 by April 10, 2026, to participate. The inaugural event is capped at 525 riders, and organizers report that registration has already reached 50 percent of capacity.
Proceeds from the ride will directly support the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s extensive programs and services, which aim to create a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live freely and fully. In addition,10 percent of net proceeds will be distributed to the San Diego LGBT Community Center and The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert,extending the impact of the fundraiser to a broader regional network.
