As part of the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Volunteers of Security Assistants (VADS), the Burkinabe writer Bruno Yeimbapénè Kambou signed his book called “La Marche radieuse des VADS”, this Friday, April 28, 2023 in Ouagadougou.

During the dedication ceremony, the writer explained that his work tells the life of the body of the Volunteers of Security Assistants, the moral values ​​and the merits of the profession.

He also indicated that the book also talks about the creation of the VADS, their training, their organization as well as the question of incivility. For him, the interest of writing this book is to contribute in one way or another to the promotion of the profession.

“I really wanted to make a mark because it takes that to draw everyone’s attention to the work that the VADS do. Their work is very important and as noble as the other jobs that other people do”he said.

Even if the presence of VADS agents at the various intersections will not completely eradicate accidents, it will considerably reduce traffic accidents, according to Bruno Yeimbapénè Kambou.

On occasion, the author cried out for the competent authorities to review the law creating the WIREso that the volunteers in question benefit from it. “Today, the profession of WIRE is so important, and even indispensable to the population”, he implied.

It’s Ali Ouedraogo who sponsored the dedication ceremony. He expressed his gratitude and joy at being associated with this activity. “The Radiant March of the WIRE » magnifies and enhances the function of the body of WIREaccording to him.

“A body that does a real job”

The sponsor also congratulated the VADS for the work done in terms of road traffic.

“It’s a body that does a real job at intersections in terms of traffic regulation, in terms of structuring traffic, in terms of assistance to vulnerable people in terms of traffic so they (the VADS Editor’s note) preserve lives at the level of their work”he expressed himself.

Note that the book is composed of 64 pages and 8 major points. It is available in bookstores at the price of 2,000 F CFA.
