In an announcement that resonated with enthusiasm at the Imaging USA International Convention held in April 2024, Ecuador was chosen as the host of the prestigious “World Photographic Cup 2025.” This decision marks a historic moment for the country and for all of South America, being the first time that a country in this region has organized this world-renowned event.
The Ecuadorian capital, Quito, is preparing to welcome more than forty international delegations, along with influencers and prestigious brands in the audiovisual industry, from March 17 to 21, 2025. Mario Cornejo, a prominent name in the Ecuadorian photography scene, emphasized the importance of the “Latitude Zero Expo,” a key component of the event. “Our goal is to showcase the best of photography and video not only from Latin America, but from around the world. The full event program encompasses a total of 50 activities, including 30 master classes that will explore the latest trends in the audiovisual field. The official agenda for the 2025 World Photography Cup includes a pre-convention from March 17 to 19 in the Historic Center of Quito, followed by the convention and expo on March 20 and 21 in the Metropolitan Center of the city.
