This September 15, 2023 should be the launch date of continuous electricity in Labé. It had been in the pipeline for ten days but due to lack of communication from the local agency which simply fell back on the religious leaders to transmit the message failed to face the press to expose the issues of such launch in the city with poorly made or sometimes outdated facilities.
Reached by telephone this Friday, the mayor of the urban commune Mamadou Aliou Laly Diallo expressed his understanding of the matter: “Officially we have not received an official launch but at the headquarters of the commune we still note stability since yesterday since we were under the influence of the rotation in the service and a normal quality of 220 volts, it is the same as Tata where I stay and other neighborhoods because we took the pulse of the situation in as an authority and we know that electricity has reached peri-urban areas like Toury…”
For the Guinean electricity company, it was the communications manager for all EDG, Naby Camara who went to coal: “Our teams are continuing the commissioning or even the tests to be able to already serve consumers as much as possible from Labé to Mali…”
According to Naby Camara, experts from the Linsan post are deployed to Labé before closing with a wish; that all citizens review their installations and use electricity rationally.
