After the Tinkisso monument representing a woman dressed in Fulani dress and finery erected by Colonel Robert Soumah, governor of the region, turn east to the esplanade of the prefecture to welcome hers.

Master Amadou Oury Soole wishes that the monument be dedicated to a local personality while opening wider the range of people to his taste who would deserve this honor:
“I believe that if this monument is dedicated to Karamoko Alfa, Alfa Yaya, Thierno Aliou Boubandyan, Thierno Oumar Rafiou Dara, the sheik of Dalein or that of Mombeyah. All over the world, there are similar constructions, paying homage to local personalities would only be fair, they have worked to bring Labé to light…”
Today the other name of the city of Labé is the city of Karamoko Alfa whose descendants continue to perpetuate the memory with an annual Zihara and an Islamic home bearing the name of the illustrious man.
