Labor announces controls for purchasing five-year service from social security

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, today, Wednesday, the controls for purchasing a service for up to five years from social security, in implementation of the provisions of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023.

The Director General of the Department of Retirement and Social Security for Workers, Ms. Kholoud Hayran, said in a statement received by the (INA): “The department issued the first decision regarding the subject of purchasing the service based on the provisions of Article (33) of the law,” noting that “the most important conditions for purchasing the service are that the worker be insured and meet the age requirement according to the text of Article (29) of the law, as he has the right to purchase the service provided that it does not exceed five years.”
She added, “Paying subscriptions for the purchased service at a rate of 17% is calculated on the basis of the worker’s average wage for the last five years for which the subscription was paid, provided that it is not less than the worker’s minimum wage.”
