The rise in the price of travel, added to that of real estate, is forcing a growing number of French people to refuse jobs.

Companies continue to hire against all odds, once again belying the forecasts of economists who anticipate a rise in unemployment. Over the first three months of the year, 92,400 additional salaried jobs were created, according to INSEE figures published on Thursday. An increase of 0.3%, which allows France to chain a ninth consecutive quarter of increase.

This very positive context, despite the impact of inflation or the war in Ukraine, should not, however, mask various brakes which are still penalizing the job market.
