Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 4557 people in Kerala today. Thiruvananthapuram 814, Ernakulam 606, Kozhikode 566, Thrissur 489, Kollam 350, Kottayam 347, Kannur 276, Malappuram 233, Pathanamthitta 211, Alappuzha 160, Palakkad 151, Idukki 139, Wayanad 135 and Kasaragod 80 districts were affected today. During the last 24 hours, 58,817 samples were tested. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 21 wards in 19 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 1,64,747 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,60,333 are under home / institutional quarantine and 4,414 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 299 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Of the current 43,771 Kovid cases, only 7.6 per cent were admitted to hospitals / field hospitals. Kovid-19 has been confirmed as the cause of 52 deaths in the last few days. In addition, 263 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 41,439.

Today, 9 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 4305 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 205 is not clear. The disease affected 38 health workers. 5108 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 928, Kollam 369, Pathanamthitta 603, Alappuzha 255, Kottayam 284, Idukki 139, Ernakulam 806, Thrissur 433, Palakkad 104, Malappuram 130, Kozhikode 400, Wayanad 207, Kannur 373 and Kasaragod 77 were cured. With this, 43,771 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 50,75,605 have so far been freed from Kovid.
