Kozhikode: Kozhikode arrests young man who is the main link of international drug mafia. Shakeel Harshad (34) was caught by the police in Khadija Mahal, Chakumkadav Anamad, during a vehicle inspection at Mudalakulam. Police seized 112 grams of MDMA from the accused’s hand and from the vehicle. After questioning him in detail, he was found to be a member of an international drug gang that was selling various types of serious drugs among students centered in Kakancheri.
Later, when a search was conducted at the accused’s secret base, 100 grams of MDMA, 10 grams of hashish, 170 ecstasy tablets, 345 LSD stamps, 31 tubes for drug use and Rs.33,000 were seized. The seized drugs are worth lakhs. The investigation team found that Shakeel Harshad had a case in Panniangara police station for using drugs before.

He told the police that if he calls the person known as the boss in the Gulf through WhatsApp and sends the location of the place where he is standing and a selfie with the money, the drug will be delivered at any time as per the requirement.
Users are not able to provide any information about the bringer as BOSS in Gulf forwards the information to the distributor in the country. This group used to sell drugs worth one and a half lakh rupees daily.

The city police is taking measures to find the properties and vehicles of those involved in drug cases and to hand them over to the government. So far, three persons have been reported to the government to confiscate their properties. Under the leadership of Dunsaf, 50 kilograms of ganja, 100 grams of MDMA, 50 grams of brown sugar, 170 MDMA ecstasy pills, 350 LSD stamps were seized in the last six months.
