Lana Del Rey finally got to wear that white dress she sang about on her album Chemtrails Over the Country Club. But this time it was for a wedding. According to reports, the 39-year-old singer, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, married Louisiana-born alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene on Thursday (September 26) after a brief romance that began earlier this year.

At the time of publication, Del Rey had not made a public statement regarding the nuptials that reportedly took place in Louisiana, five months after the singer began dating the airboat captain she referred to as “my boy” in a May Instagram post.

According to People, the couple met in 2019 when Del Rey took a swamp boat tour in which Dufrene was her guide. They reportedly picked up their marriage license at the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court office on September 23, after which they had 30 days to marry before it expired.

Dufrene’s biography on the Airboat Tours by Arthur website reveals that he worked at a chemical plant and spent his days off shrimping before getting his captain’s license. “He quickly realized it was a great choice and never thought about returning to his previous career at the plant. Jeremy is a great airboat captain and loves interacting with wildlife and customers,” it reads.

Reportedly, Daily Mail obtained pictures of the nuptials that took place by the water in Des Allemandes, LA, the same swamp where Dufrene, a divorced father of three children, offers his tours. The photos show Del Rey walking down the aisle accompanied by her father, Robert Grant, in a flowing white dress that reaches the floor.

At the time of publication, a spokesperson for Del Rey had not responded to Billboard‘s request for comments.
