Lana Del Rey is a married woman. The singer got married yesterday to Jeremy Dufrene, a special tour guide, as he conducts tours to spot crocodiles in the state of Louisiana, United States.
The 39-year-old singer and Dufrene were married this Thursday, September 26, in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, at the location where he works. A few days ago, the magazine People announced that the artist and her partner had obtained a marriage license, so the wedding was imminent.
In photos published by the British media Daily Mail, she can be seen wearing a white dress with a bateau neckline and her hair tied back with a light blue ribbon. Del Rey appeared to be accompanied by her father, Robert Grant, as she held a bouquet of flowers and walked toward the altar. Meanwhile, he opted for the classic black suit with a white shirt and brown shoes.
After saying “I do”, Dufrene – a native of Louisiana, divorced, and father of three children – took Del Rey’s hand as they headed to the party, which was entirely outdoors in a public space by a lake. The newlyweds passed by one of Dufrene’s famous boats, which was docked and decorated with white flowers for the wedding. Along the pier, some tents were also set up where tables were placed for guests to enjoy the planned banquet.
Del Rey’s sister, Caroline Grant, and her brother, Charlie Hill-Grant, were by her side on this special day. The only one who was not seen at the venue was the singer’s mother, Patricia Ann Hill, who was not photographed during the event.
The first time Del Rey shared photos with Dufrene was in 2019 when she posted some images on Facebook after taking one of his swamp tours. “Jeremy, let me be the captain of Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” she captioned the postcards.
For several years, nothing was known about them until a few months ago when she tagged him in an Instagram post, leaving no doubt that she was in love and in a relationship with him. In their first official post together, the Grammy-nominated artist referred to her partner as her “boy” while posing with him and her siblings. In August of this year, a TikTok user shared a short video of the singer walking hand in hand with Dufrene at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey was performing, and in September she confirmed the relationship to the whole world.
At first, Del Rey’s relationship with Dufrene worried the star’s friends, who were convinced that he was hiding some ulterior motive behind his feelings for her. However, it wasn’t long before everyone realized how well he treated her and how in love they both were.
