Land dispute in Sudan – 170 people killed in conflict between two sides

In the southern part of Sudan, the Blue Nile Province is home to many ethnic groups. In this, there is a dispute over the distribution of land between the Hausa people and some other groups. The two sides clashed with each other last week. The incident has escalated over the past few days.

In this case, up to 170 people have been killed in the land dispute-related conflict between the two groups in the last 2 days.

500 km south of the capital city of Khartoum. A clash broke out at Wad al-Mahi, near Rosires. A total of 170 people including women, children and the elderly have been killed in this conflict. 86 people were injured in the violence. This was confirmed by Abbas Moussa, the head of the hospital in Al-Mahi area.
