Landslide in Congo – 120 people are reported to have died

Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been hit by heavy rains and flooding. Due to this, houses and roads were surrounded by water. Congolese government spokesman Patrick shared photos on Twitter of a huge pothole in the road.

The Prime Minister’s Office has announced that the national highway there will be closed for 4 days. It is feared that up to 120 people may have died due to floods and landslides. The Congolese city of Kinshasa is suffering from frequent floods due to climate change, according to reports.
