“Mr. Guterres, I call on you today to honor your words in this scandalous case, and to put things on the record – this matter cannot pass in silence,” the Prime Minister wrote in his letter to the UN Secretary General.

He further added: “Slanders about a “Jewish lobby” that works to “control” the media, remind us of the darkest days of modern history.”

Lapid asks: “The fight against anti-Semitism cannot be waged with words alone. It requires action. It is time to take action – it is time to dissolve the committee.”

The Prime Minister’s demand follows anti-Semitic statements by committee member, Mr. Milon Kotari, which join a series of anti-Semitic incidents and a clear anti-Israel phenomenon, which exists in the UN Commission of Inquiry.
