Before arriving at Rose hill, Glueck dedicated 13 seasons to coaching as an assistant at Harvard University under the guidance of head coach Joe Restic. His commitment to the game began as a student-athlete at Villanova University, where he excelled and was later inducted into the school’s Varsity Club Hall of Fame. He was a key member of the Wildcats’ 1962 team that won the Sun Bowl championship.
Glueck’s athletic career extended to the professional ranks as well.He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 1963 NFL Draft, with the 34th overall pick. Over three seasons with the Bears,he participated in 37 games and recorded one career interception during the 1963 season,a year in which the team achieved an extraordinary 11-1-2 record and secured the league championship.

A funeral Mass will follow on Monday, September 8th, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy., East Falmouth, Massachusetts.
