jpnn.comPONTIANAK – Pontianak rock band, LAS! is apparently preparing its third album. The new album is targeted to be launched at the end of next year.

LAS! claims that the third album will be slightly different from the mini album Bona Fortuna (2016) and the album Kota Kecil and Rock N Roll (2021).

In terms of theme, the band consisting of Bob Gloriaus (vocals/guitar), Diaz Mraz (drums), Agaz Frial (guitar), and Cep Kobra (bass) talks a lot about the personal side of the new album.

While previously they had created many works about social, political, and environmental issues, LAS! is now a bit calmer, offering songs that tell stories about the band’s personal life and journey.

“Because it’s been almost 10 years, we talk more about the journey of this band, our love for each other, it’s very personal,” said Diaz Mraz, drummer of LAS! when talking to JPNN.com in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, recently.

In several songs on the third album, LAS! was inspired by life stories that they have experienced.

In addition, LAS! personnel also portray simplicity and everyday life through their latest songs.

“For example, the song Whiskey Cola is about how we were heartbroken at an age that is no longer young. There is also a song about our favorite bar in Pontianak,” said Bob Gloriaus, vocalist of LAS!.
