There will be no change in the timings of metro rail for the first 15 days of the upcoming month of Ramadan. However, in the last 15 days, the train running time will increase by one hour in both directions. The last train from Motijheel will leave at 9:40 pm and the last train from Uttara will leave at 9:20 pm, said Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the Metrorail operator.

Managing Director of the organization MAN Siddique said this in a press conference organized in the meeting room of DMTCL in Iskaton of the capital on Sunday (March 10) afternoon.

He said, 250 ml bottles can be carried before and after Iftar time. In this case, the water bottle must be thrown in the bin. Can’t be thrown anywhere. Iftar schedule will be displayed on LED screens inside and outside the train.

MAN Siddique said, under no circumstances can any food be taken inside Concourse Plaza, Platform and Metrorail during Iftar. From 16 Ramadan to the day before Eid-ul-Fitr, the time limit for metro rail will increase by one hour. At that time 10 more metro trains will run. In that time, the number of metro trains will be 194 times a day. At that time, 4 lakh 47 thousand 752 passengers can travel a day.
