Time.news – Over 16,000 entries to the exhibition “Alberto Sordi and his time”! In the last weekend of November, the exhibition will be open to visitors from 10am to 1pm as well as from 4pm to 8pm. The exhibition is hosted in the Alberto Sordi House Museumthe historic villa where the actor lived from 1958 to 2003, home to the Historical Archive and the Museum Foundation which for the occasion opens the Great Hall and the Theater to the public where Sordi used to preview films of his films.

Alberto Sordi is an integral part of the national cultural and civic identity and a bridge of narrative communication between generations. The exhibition “Alberto Sordi and his time” gives younger people the opportunity to learn and older people the opportunity to remember, but in both cases an opportunity not to forget.

Created in collaboration with the Alberto Sordi Foundation for young people, the Istituto Luce Cinecittà Historical Archive and Rai Teche, the exhibition presents materials from the Historical Archive of the Alberto Sordi Museum Foundation and from 13 other public and private photographic archives.

“Alberto Sordi and his Time”, edited by Alessandra Maria Sette, retraces and intertwines the professional career of Alberto Sordi with the events of our country, from 1920 al 2003. The first and second post-war years, the economic boom, the years of lead, the referendum on divorce, the establishment of the National Health Service, are just some of the historical events of the last century, in which important conquests alternate with strong social tensions.

Alberto Sordi is a man of his time and represents a universal stereotype through his characters. With inimitable talent he captures the vices and virtues of the average Italian, giving unforgettable interpretations, from Oreste Jacovacci, to Prof. Dr. Guido TersilliRemo Proietti, Giovanni Vivaldi, Alberto Mariani and many other protagonists of an Italy of reconstruction and change.

Free entry, no reservation required, open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 4pm to 8pm.
