In a duel for the 19th round of the Brasileirão, Bahia managed to tie at the last moment against Atlético-GO, ending in a 1-1 draw this Wednesday (24) at the Antônio Accioly Stadium.
With this result, the Dragão reached ten consecutive games without a win in this Serie A and remains at the bottom of the table.
On the other hand, Bahia scored points again after two consecutive losses but has not won in three rounds, which is why they left the G-6 of the Brasileirão.
During the game, Atlético imposed itself in front of its crowd and had the best chances of the match.
In the first half, the team had a goal ruled out, scored by Emiliano Rodríguez. After a lengthy VAR review, an offside was called on the play.
However, upon returning from halftime, Luiz Fernando scored with a placed shot that hit the crossbar before going into the corner, opening the scoring.
In the final minutes, the referee called a foul for Bahia, but defender Alix Vinicius, who already had a yellow card, thought the game was over and took off his shirt, receiving another card and being sent off.
Until, in the last minute, with a goal from Jean Lucas in stoppage time, Bahia snatched a draw in Goiânia. After the final whistle, the match ended in confusion, with the home team’s players confronting the referee, and the police being called onto the field.
The field referee still went to the VAR booth to check the incidents of the confusion, escorted by the police for protection, and only afterwards went to the locker room.
