Israel evacuates its diplomatic staff from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain and Turkmenistan
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has evacuated staff from its Embassies in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain and Turkmenistan since the declaration of war against the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7, while it has closed totally or partially about 20 diplomatic offices around the world, including Europe and Latin America. Non-evacuated diplomats have been instructed to stay at home and work from there or have been transferred to other cities considered safer, according to the Israeli news portal Ynet. These measures, of a temporary nature, have been taken as a consequence of the demonstrations that are taking place around the world against Israel, either in support of the Palestinian cause or in rejection of attacks against civilians.
