Third operation in three days for Last Renovation. After Matignon on Wednesday, the Ministry of Economy and Finance on Thursday, activists this time sprayed paint on the Ministry of Ecological Transition, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
“Florian 23, Mathieu 29 and Sébastien 37, citizens engaged with #DernièreRénovation, sprinkle orange paint on the facade of the Ministry of Ecological Transition”, wrote the organization this afternoon on its Twitter account, video in support. We see one of them being quickly tackled to the ground by a member of the police, while the other two continue to spray paint on the building for almost a minute, before being stopped.
“The Ministry of Ecological Transition is only ecological in name, guilty of its lack of ambition. Agnès Pannier-Runacher is even suspected of a conflict of interest with the fossil fuel extraction industry”, justifies Last Renovation on its social networks.
“I joined the civil resistance, and multiplied the commitments for 6 months. And in 6 months I myself will be sued. I regret nothing. Civil resistance is the right way to serve the generations to which we will bequeath this world, ”explains Sébastien, “researcher in theoretical physics” and member of the trio involved this Friday, in a press release broadcast by Last Renovation.
After the operations of Wednesday and Thursday, it is therefore the third ministerial building targeted by the environmental group. “Our country has the resources and the knowledge necessary to initiate a major rescue plan. If we don’t, it’s because the government has other priorities than our survival. It is the money, the energy and the hope of the French which are diverted and wasted”, finally adds the collective.
