Luisa Corcione, winner of the Fringe 2020 best dramaturgy, presents a new installation

NAPLES – On June 18 from 18:30 to 20 at the EStudio Gallery in Naples (via santa Maria di Costantinopoli 104 booking estudioteatro.21@gmail.com) Luisa Corcione – director of “Ca / 1000” winner of the Fringe Festival 2020 Best dramaturgy -Enrico Manzo, Fersen prize for innovation and research – presents the installation “Last Room” to the public. With a plastic wall, the artist invites us to reflect on the technological process that transforms organic substance into synthetic. The opacity of the material allows the observer to have a distorted image of the installation. Once passed, here is a tribute to the founder of the city of Naples, Partenope, mermaid and bird at the same time.

«We were forced to stop for a long time and it was a moment of reflection for many of us, I reflected on the empty space of the stage, and I found it welcoming and ready to receive. So here are pieces of dismembered scenes from a previous theatrical work, exhibited to the public in full pandemic at the Napoli Teatro Festival 2020, in a new tale of still time, a condition in which many of us have found ourselves in this difficult year ».

The public, within this installation, will listen to a composition of texts by Enrico Manzo, intertwined with some sound inprinting. The piece was produced by the Tarab association. Composed and arranged by Luca Cappuccio. The composition is inspired by the Neapolitan Lampworkers. The race consisted of a team relay with the riders who had to surrender the torch, until the finish line, trying to keep the flame alight.

The last part of the installation is a video edited by director Gianmaria Fiorillo of the birth of the siren played by actress Noemi Francesca, choreographed by Fabrizio Varriale and directed by Luisa Corcione, with assistant director Federica de Filippo. A message of rebirth. The installation is completed by the work loaned to the theatrical project by the artist Rosaria Corcione which is part of the IN / NATURE project, made with stucco and natural fibers, a work on the profound link between man and nature.
