In this situation he has said that he is just interested to see Umran Malik playing after Sachin Tendulkar. Umran Malik, who played for Hyderabad in the ongoing IPL series, has caught everyone’s attention by bowling at breakneck speed against leading players like Dhoni.
He continues to bowl at a speed of 150 kmph and is the 2nd fastest bowler of the season in the IPL with 157 kmph. Umran Malik was left out of the starting XI for the first two matches against South Africa. Thus many former players have been advising him to be selected in the team.
Commenting on Umran Malik in this regard, Gavaskar said, “If I was really interested in seeing an Indian player last time it was watching Sachin Tendulkar. After that I would be interested to see Umran Malik playing. He should play soon.
