Late Night Explosions at Truck and Car Fires Near Promenade
The quiet evening at the local promenade was disrupted on Tuesday night when emergency services responded to a call about explosions and a fire. The alarm came at 10.35pm, with Police spokeswoman Nadya Norton confirming that they received a call about something that sounded like an explosion at a truck.
“We have scant information about the case at the moment,” Norton said.
According to the emergency services, two trucks and a car are on fire. A line operator reported, “It’s not by the mosque, but a little further down towards the promenade.”
At this time, the cause of the explosions and subsequent fires is unknown, and authorities are actively investigating the incident. No injuries or casualties have been reported as of now, and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
