As the Israeli war on the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank continues, many world cities and capitals witnessed “massive demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people, and to demand a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.”
According to the Israeli website “I24”, “thousands participated in demonstrations organized in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, the Norwegian capital Oslo, the South African capital Cape Town, the German city of Stuttgart, the Swedish capital Stockholm, the cities of Malmö, Borås, Uppsala, Manchester, the British capital London, and Aarhus, Denmark. The participants in the demonstrations raised Palestinian flags and banners “denouncing the war on Gaza.”
The demonstrations called for “an end to double standards and the need to prosecute Israel for its crimes against the Palestinian people, and they also denounced the genocide in the Gaza Strip.”
In a related context, Hamas leader Osama Hamdan confirmed that “the Biden administration has no real will to cease fire in Gaza,” referring to “a joint attempt between Washington and Tel Aviv to buy time and commit more massacres.”
Hamdan said that what the Americans are currently proposing “does not include a withdrawal from Gaza or even a ceasefire,” noting that “the movement is still negotiating the ‘criteria’ and that there is no talk yet about the names of the prisoners.” He said: “A ceasefire must be guaranteed within clear criteria.”
Israel has been continuing its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has led to the killing of more than 40,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 92,000 others.
In the latest developments in the West Bank, the Israeli army launched successive and continuous attacks against Palestinian militants in the cities of the northern West Bank (Jenin, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, and Nablus).
Video footage showed the moment the Israeli Air Force carried out an assassination operation targeting a group of young men in the city of Jenin on Saturday evening, and Palestinian media broadcast footage of the moment a missile from a drone fell on a car in which the young men were traveling.
Palestinian medical sources said that two young men were killed in the attack. The Qassam Brigades said that it mourns “the martyrs Ahmed Abu Ara and Rafat Dawasi.”
It is noteworthy that since Operation “Noah’s Flood”, Israel has escalated its attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the killing of more than 635 Palestinians and the arrest of more than 10,000 others.
