The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has recalled that there will be no ceasefire until all the Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, in an attack on Jewish soil in which 1,400 people died, are released. Meanwhile, the head of the UN calls for an urgent ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which he says has become “a children’s graveyard”, but the Israeli prime minister once again rules out this option.
