Most Israelis support a diplomatic solution to the Gaza war
Coinciding with the legislative movement to support the Government and, ultimately, the Prime Minister, today a survey by the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) was made public, which shows that there are more and more voices that support a solution diplomat to the war in Gaza. Respondents responded positively to the question: would they support or oppose an end to the war in Gaza that includes the release of hostages, “long-term military tranquility” with a US guarantee, peace with Saudi Arabia, the release of Palestinian prisoners and the establishment, in the long term, of a demilitarized Palestinian State. Among Israeli Arabs, a large majority of 77% – compared to 69% on January 10 – were in favor, while only 9% said they would oppose it. Among Israeli Jews, 55% expressed some degree of opposition, while the percentage in favor increased from 29% to 37%.
