The gang has stolen information such as customer details, PAN and Aadhaar numbers, credit, and debit card information, and mobile phone numbers. The group has sold information under three registered and several unregistered names, grossing crores. According to police reports, the prime accused in the case previously established a call center in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to collect credit card applications. Sandeep Paul reportedly sold information to cybercriminals under the name Global Data Arts, while Mushkan Haasan also sold data under different names. The police department has issued a warning that such data theft could threaten the security of the country, and internet users should be cautious when sharing data.

In this situation, it has been reported that a gang of 6 people has stolen and sold the information of about 16.80 crore people from India. It is said by the police to be India’s biggest data fraud. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra told reporters. Speaking about this, he said, “This includes bank customers, Facebook users, I.T. Information of employees, government employees, NEET exam students, soldiers and pilots have been stolen.

Accordingly, the information of 1.10 crore bank customers, 75 Facebook users, 1.2 crore WhatsApp users, 35 thousand Delhi government officials and employees, and 2.50 lakh army personnel have been stolen. The gang was also found to have stolen credit card applicant information.

The gang stole their various information like customer name, work, details, Aadhaar number, PAN card number, credit card, debit card details, address, mobile phone numbers, other details in the bank and divided them into 140 types and sold them for several crores. Kumar Nitish Bhushan, Kumari Poojapal, Sushil Thamar, Atul Pratap Singh, Mushkan Hassan and Sandeep Pal have been arrested from this gang.

The prime accused in the case, Kumar Nitish Bhushan, set up a call center in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and collected credit card information. Sandeep Paul sold information to cybercriminals under the name Global Data Arts. Similarly, Mushkan Haasan also sold data. The group sold this information under three registered names, Data Mart Infotech, Global Data Arts and MS Digital Grow, and some unregistered names. “12 cell phones, 3 laptops, 2 CPUs and a list of 138 types of personal data were seized from Ikumbal,” he said.
