Latvians and Lithuanians insure life, Estonians insure cars and property. How is the Baltic insurance market different?

Last year, Latvians and Lithuanians were more active in life insurance, while Estonians were dominated by car and property insurance, according to the data collected by the insurance associations of all three countries.

The Baltic insurance markets are currently experiencing similar growth, but each country has its own trends in terms of insurance types. It can also be observed that Latvians insure relatively less than the residents of other neighboring countries – we are in the last place both in terms of premiums signed and compensations paid.
